We must however point out, that due to the structure of the internet, unwanted data access by a third party may occur. You are therefore responsible for protecting your data by encryption or similar against such misuse. Without the appropriate protection measures, unencrypted transmitted data can also be read by third parties, even when sent by email.

5. Use of cookies

Our website uses cookies in several places. Cookies are small text files, which are stored on your PC by a web browser. Their purpose is to make our website more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. We also use temporary cookies, which are automatically deleted when you close your browser (“Session Cookies”) as well as long-term (persistent) cookies. In this way we aim to continually improve our website. Pieces of information collected, using these cookies, are evaluated for statistical purposes. Additional information collected by cookies and data processing operations relating thereto can be found further down in this notice.

You have the option whether you would like to allow the setting of cookies. Changes can be made in your browser settings. Basically you have the choice of accepting all cookies, to be advised when cookies are being set, or to decline all cookies. If you wish to select the last option, you may not be able to make full use of our website.

6. Tracking PIWIK

This website uses the Open Source web analysis service Piwik. Piwik uses so-called “Cookies”. These are text files, which are stored on your computer to analyse your use of the website. Information produced in this way by the cookie regarding website usage is stored on our server. The IP-address is anonymised before any data is saved.

Information about the user obtained from the cookie regarding usage of our website is not passed on to third parties. You can prevent the saving of cookies using the relevant setting in your browser software; we would however like to point out that if you do so it may not be possible for you to use all of this website’s functions in full.

If you do not agree with the storage and use of your data, you can deactivate the storage and use here. In this case an opt-out cookie is placed in your browser which prevents the Piwik usage data from being stored. When you delete your cookies, the Piwik opt-out-cookie is deleted also. When re-visting our website, the opt-out must be re-activated.

7. Queries concerning data protection

If you should have any questions regarding data protection in our company, please send them by post or e-mail to datenschutz(a)sielaff.de.

8. Use of Social Plug-ins

Our website uses social plug-ins (“Plug-ins”) to different social networks such as Facebook.com for example. These plug-ins are recognisable from their respective logo on the network. We have designed a 2-click solution, so that when just visiting the website no data transfer takes place.

Only when you click on such a plug-in does your browser establish a direct connection with the server of the respective network. The content of the plug-in is transferred via the network directly to your browser and integrated into the website. If these networks are based outside the EU or the EEA we cannot exclude the possibility that your data will be transmitted to a server outside the EU/EEA and be processed there. We have no influence over the amount of data that the respective network collects with the aid of this plug-in and therefore inform you to the best of our knowledge of the following:

By embedding the plug-ins the respective network is informed that you have accessed the relevant page on our website. If you are logged into one of the networks, this network can assign this information to your profile. If you do not want the network to collect information about your visit to our website, you must therefore log out first. There is however also a chance that the network learns and stores your IP-address, although you have not registered there or are not logged-in.

For information regarding the purpose and scope of the data collection and the way in which it is processed and used as well as your rights in this respect and your settings options to protect your privacy, please refer to the data protection notice for the respective social networks.
